SPRING RETREAT 2025
Sunday May 18, 2025, 1p-5p
The Mourning Collective is honored to offer our first seasonal Grief Retreat.
Spring is a time of renewal, a reminder that even after loss, new beginnings are possible.
If you are navigating grief and loss, we invite you to join us for a nurturing and transformative afternoon. This retreat is for those seeking connection, support, and a space to heal while embracing the energy of spring.
This intimate gathering (limited to 12 participants) offers a space for you to process grief, reconnect with yourself, and embrace the season of transformation through art, movement, nature, and ritual.
Location: Richmond California, near Wildcat Canyon regional park. Details of location will be emailed to you when you register.
Retreat Highlights
Art Therapy – Express and learn to understand your feelings and explore healing through creativity.
Scenic Hike & Ritual – Immerse yourself in nature’s wisdom and support and honor your journey with a guided ritual.
Serene Yurt Space – A cozy yurt in a tranquil setting, where we will co-create an altar space honoring our loved ones, eat nourishing snacks, take breaks and make space for journal writing.
This is your time and your space to process your grief in the way you need. We are here to support and guide you but know everything offered is optional.
-
We will begin the day with a meet and greet before settling into our circle. After introductions and a chance to place photos and/or objects of your departed loved ones on the altar, Stacia will lead you through a ritual of release. We will provide space to write in your journals and reflect before we embark on a hike guided by Chela.
-
There will be two options for the hike as well as the option to stay in the yurt. You may also opt to hike as a group or venture out solo. The trail is approximatley 15min of moderate terrain.
-
Upon our return, we will reconvene and Julia will offer an art activity before our closing circle.
